“Ambassador Hart” becomes patron of Spear
We are delighted to announce that Miranda Hart, the well-known comedian and writer and star of the hit TV show “Miranda”, has generously agreed to be the patron of Spear.
The much loved Miranda was one of our special guests at the Spear party on the 11thNovember 2011, where the announcement was made.
After a short surprise sketch with her fellow cast members, Patricia Hodge and Sarah Hadland, Miranda expressed her passion for and commitment to Spear in an interview with Chief ExecutiveTom Jackson. Miranda said, “I wanted to work with a charity that supports young people and makes my heart skip. That’s why I chose Spear.” She also jokingly asked that she be referred to as “Ambassador Hart”.
This is thrilling news for Spear, and we are delighted to welcome Miranda to this new role.
