We have been aware for some time that the calibre and skills of the Spear team are crucial to our success. Since the course started in 2004, all Spear coaches have been carefully trained in one-to-one coaching and group facilitation skills through The Wilsher Group who have been generous supporters of our work.
As we prepare to extend the reach of Spear more widely, we have recognised the need to develop our own capability to train the team in-house. Spear and The Wilsher Group have therefore joined together to create a new Spear ‘Coaching College’. As well as developing key skills in our new recruits, the college has also trained senior managers from businesses such as MJ Mapp and Spaceform in order to establish similar skills in their management teams.
The course is enormously stretching for the delegates but has been very well received.
