We are enormously proud of communication agency Banner’s new employee, Sophia Hutchings.
Before doing the Spear course, Sophia’s only experience of work was behind the bar in a pub at weekends. Lacking confidence in her own potential, Sophia soon found the programme a safe place to grow. She says she found Spear “put me at ease and automatically boosted my motivation”.
Only one week after the course, Sophia impressed the management team at Banner to such an extent that they created a brand new role specifically for her. Sophia joined the company as an Administrator and Receptionist on 1st March and has been appointed a mentor from the company who will oversee her career development.
Mike Jarvis, International Media Director at Banner, sent this email a few weeks after Sophia joined them: “Sophia is doing wonders and looking so cool and sophisticated. We have a big pitch today and she is getting everything sorted like an old pro. Fingers crossed she has a long career ahead at Banner and beyond…”
Sophia is already attending networking black tie events, as well as being exposed to a huge spectrum of work experiences. We so look forward to seeing where she’ll be in a year’s time!
